 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The passing of Ann Olson Ivey of Arlington on April
 3, 2010, at the age of 57, has deeply saddened the family and
 friends of this beloved woman; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Ms. Ivey was born in
 Dallas on June 6, 1952; she graduated from Hillcrest High School in
 1970 and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Austin College;
 and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Ivey enjoyed a notable career as a physical
 therapist with the Arlington Independent School District;
 moreover, she founded the Arlington Pregnancy Center, which has
 served nearly 50,000 clients since 1984; and
 WHEREAS, Devoted to her husband of 35 years, Larry, and her
 children, Garrett and Courtney, she was also committed to giving
 back to her community as a board member of the Arlington Night
 Shelter, president of the Arlington Home School Association, and
 member of the local Junior League; she treasured her faith and was a
 valued member of Pantego Bible Church, where she was active in a
 number of ministries; and
 WHEREAS, Ann Ivey built a life that was rich in meaningful
 endeavor, and although she is greatly missed, her legacy lives on in
 the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ann Olson Ivey and
 extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband, Larry Ivey; to her children, Garrett Ivey and Courtney
 Farley and her husband, Austin; to her parents, Al and Pat Olson; to
 her brother, Robert Olson; and to her other relatives and many
 friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ann Olson
 Ivey.
