                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 3, 2011      TO: Honorable Mike Hamilton, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1001 by Carona (Relating to the practice of certain professions regulated under the Occupations Code and the payment and reimbursement of certain professionals.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the practice of certain regulated professions and the payment and reimbursement of certain professionals. Based on analysis provided by the Texas Medical Board, the Department of Insurance, the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and the Health and Human Services Commission, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the practice of certain regulated professions and the payment and reimbursement of certain professionals.
