The bill would amend the Election Code to authorize the governing body of a political subdivision, other than a county, to change the date of the general election for officers to the uniform election date in November not later than December 31, 2012. The bill would repeal Section 41.0053 of the Election Code. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
