The bill would amend Section 192.002, Health and Safety Code, to require that certain data on births by labor induction or cesarean section be collected under the confidential section of a birth certificate. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. The Department of State Health Services estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
