The bill modifies existing law which requires a vaccination against bacterial meningitis for first-time students at public or private institutions who live in on-campus housing. Under provisions of the bill, the requirement would apply to "entering students" as defined in the bill. The requirement would not apply to a student of an institution who is enrolled only in online or other distance education courses or who is 30 years of age or older. Provisions of the bill would be implemented within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
