The bill would amend Section 54.518, Education Code by adding subsection (D) allowing the Board of Regents of Midwestern State University to increase student fees for certain purposes if a majority of the students participating in a general election approved. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
