                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 20, 2011      TO: Honorable John Carona, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1133 by Hegar (Relating to weatherization and preparedness reports by the Public Utility Commission.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Utilities Code by adding a section requiring the Public Utility Commission to prepare reports on weatherization and preparedness of generators within ERCOT. Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission, it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
