A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the jurisdiction of the 228th District Court.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 24.406, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) The 228th District Court has concurrent jurisdiction
with the statutory county courts of Harris County in misdemeanor
cases as well as the jurisdiction prescribed by general law for
district courts.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
