The bill would provide the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) the authority to authorize injection of desalinated water concentrate in a well that transects or terminates in the saline portion of the Edwards Aquifer, as defined by the bill.   Passage of the bill is not expected to result in significant fiscal implications to the TCEQ.
