                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 6, 2011      TO: Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1193 by Rodriguez (Relating to coordination of services provided by Medicaid managed care organizations and certain community centers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require that contracts between managed care organizations (MCOs) and the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) under Medicaid managed care include a requirement that MCOs coordinate the care of each recipient receiving services through the MCO and certain community centers. The community centers would also be required to coordinate care with the MCOs. According to HHSC, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
