                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 21, 2011      TO: Honorable Chris Harris, Chair, Senate Committee on Jurisprudence      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1198 by Rodriguez (Relating to decedents' estates.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend various administrative and procedureal requirements in the Texas Probate Code, including the transfer of cases, assignment of statutory probate judges, together with drafting requirements and administration of probate-related matters. While this bill would alter some provisions of the Probate Code that would be of concern to practitioners, the bill would not affect the procedures employed by the courts when handling probate cases. Consequently, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
