The bill would create higher education curriculum review teams that would be required to review the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for subjects in the required curriculum and to make recommendations to the State Board of Education prior to adoption of new TEKS. The Texas Education Agency would be required to post the recommendations on its web site. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
