The bill would amend the Occupations Code related to the registration of peace officers as private security officers. The bill would take immediate effect upon receiving two-thirds votes of all members in each house, otherwise taking effect September 1, 2011. This analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementing the bill's provisions could be met with existing resources.
