The bill would amend the Government Code and provide that the Veterans Commission, with the assistance of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, inform and assist veterans, their families, and dependants with claims for unclaimed property with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
