                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 12, 2011      TO: Honorable Mario Gallegos Jr., Chair, Senate Committee on S/C on Flooding & Evacuations      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1690 by Lucio (Relating to the consideration of and action on applications for financial assistance for water supply and sewer service projects in economically distressed areas.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would authorize the Water Development Board to consider additional information on applications for financial assistance for water supply and sewer service projects in economically distressed areas. Based on information provided by the Water Development Board, the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
