                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2011      TO: Honorable Tommy Williams, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation & Homeland Security      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1702 by Williams (Relating to the establishment of a task force to enhance the prosecution and tracking of money laundering in this state.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to provide that the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) establish and administer a task force to enhance the prosecution and tracking of money laundering in this state. The OAG indicates that that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
