                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 12, 2011      TO: Honorable John Davis, Chair, House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1736 by Van de Putte (Relating to the establishment of the College Credit for Heroes program.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the establishment of the College Credit for Heroes program.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission and the Higher Education Coordinating Board, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
