The bill would amend various sections of the Government Code to include certain private or independent institutions of higher education that contract with the Higher Education Coordinating Board under the definition of "Governmental body" as it relates to the open meetings and public information laws. Any costs associated with the bill would be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
