The bill would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board to establish a method for assessing the quality and effectiveness of academic advising services available to students at each institution. The method of assessment must include the use of student surveys and identify quantifiable measures for an assessment. The method of assessment shall be established by the Higher Education Coordinating Board not later than September 1, 2012. Provisions of the bill would be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
