Dutton Jr., Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB396 by Deuell (Relating to the state fire marshal's investigation of the death of a firefighter who dies in the line of duty or in connection with an on-duty incident.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the state fire marshals investigation of the death of a firefighter who dies in the line of duty or in connection with an on-duty incident.   Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
