The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the requirements of an authorization agreement for a nonparent relative of a child. The bill modifies some of the requirements surrounding authorization agreements for a nonparent relative of a child. These agreements are made outside of court supervision and would have no impact on court operations. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
