The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to total benefit amount under a prepaid funeral contract. Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Based on the analysis by the Department of Banking, it is assumed that implementation of this bill will have no fiscal impact to that agency.
