                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 7, 2011      TO: Honorable Mike Jackson, Chair, Senate Committee on Economic Development      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB638 by Jackson (Relating to the computation of a surplus credit and a surplus credit rate for certain successor employing units.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the computation of a surplus credit and a surplus credit rate for certain successor employing units.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission, it is assumed that any duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
