Based on LBB analysis, the obligations associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be met using existing Human Resources capacity within the affected state and local institutions of higher education. The bill would entitle employees to receive up to two years of paid leave to recuperate from any physical injury resulting from a physical assault that occured during the performance of the employee's regular duties. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated because the obligations of this bill could be met within districts' existing Human Resources capabilities.
