                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 13, 2011      TO: Honorable Robert Duncan, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB809 by Seliger (Relating to judicial review in district court of certain workers' compensation disputes.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to judicial review in district court of certain workers' compensation disputes.  Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, and the State Office of Administrative Hearings, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within existing agency resources.  Absent any information from the State Office of Risk Management, it is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill could be accomplished within existing agency resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
