The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to judicial review in district court of certain workers' compensation disputes. Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, and the State Office of Administrative Hearings, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within existing agency resources. Absent any information from the State Office of Risk Management, it is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill could be accomplished within existing agency resources.
