                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 4, 2011      TO: Honorable Craig Estes, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture & Rural Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB895 by Zaffirini (Relating to the regulation of equine dental care providers; providing penalties.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to provide for the registration and regulation of equine dental care providers. The bill would require the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to adopt rules to implement the provisions of the bill. Based on the analysis of the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.  Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
