                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 1, 2011      TO: Honorable Tommy Williams, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation & Homeland Security      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB947 by Patrick (Relating to granting limited state law enforcement authority to certain criminal investigators of the United States and to other federal law enforcement personnel.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to granting limited state law enforcement authority to certain criminal investigators of the United States and to other federal law enforcement personnel. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education indicates that the bill has no anticipated fiscal impact. This bill will take immediate effect if it receives a two-thirds majority vote in both Houses of the Legislature; otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
