                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 356
 In Memory
 of
 Maria Theresa Morado
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Maria Theresa
 Morado, who died February 13, 2011, at the age of 56; and
 WHEREAS, Maria Theresa Morado was born August 16, 1954; she
 was a 1972 graduate of Memorial High School and went on to earn a
 bachelor's degree from Yale University; and
 WHEREAS, She later returned to Memorial High School as an
 educator, sharing her love of knowledge and her expertise in
 debate; and
 WHEREAS, She enjoyed a productive and fulfilling career as
 an appraiser for the Bexar County Appraisal District, where she
 was respected and admired by her colleagues for her
 professionalism and integrity; and
 WHEREAS, She was active in numerous community affairs and
 was a founding member of the Education Partnership program; and
 WHEREAS, A woman of honor, strength, and compassion, she
 gave generously to others, and her warmth, wisdom, and enthusiasm
 for living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten by those
 who knew her; and
 WHEREAS, She was devoted to her family and friends, who
 will continue to live with the cherished memories of her life and
 her many achievements; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Maria Theresa Morado: her mother, Maria Luisa Morado;
 her sisters, Lydia Ann Morado, Joan Louise Rodriguez, Katherine
 M. Duke, Olga Carol Gomez, and Margaret Rose Blackmon; and her
 many beloved nieces and nephews; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Maria Theresa Morado.
