SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 669
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dru M. Robinson of Boy Scout Troop 822 for achieving
the rank of Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the elite
corps of Eagles recently and was presented the coveted Eagle
Badge at a Court of Honor; and
WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only five
out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program attain the rank of
Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise, Dru advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership
through planning, developing, and conducting a service project
that benefited his community; he is truly a shining example to
his fellow Scouts and the young people of Texas; and
WHEREAS, For his project, Dru designed, planned, and
implemented a landscaping project at the Lake Park soccer complex
in Lewisville; and
WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, Dru has brought great
honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his
state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Dru M. Robinson on receiving this
prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle
Scout Robinson as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
