SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 900
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise, Michael Travis Martin of Troop 328 in Lake Jackson
advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star,
and Life classes before recently attaining the rank of
Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine
young man has become one of the select few to achieve this
distinguished honor; and
WHEREAS, By conducting a service project that allowed him
to exercise his leadership abilities, Michael has completed the
requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time
benefited his community; and
WHEREAS, This personable young man has brought great honor
to himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps
of Eagle Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Michael is truly a shining example to his troop
and to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Michael Travis Martin on earning the
rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his outstanding
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Eagle Scout Martin as an expression of high regard from the Texas
Senate.
