SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 940
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Abundant Life Community Baptist Church of Austin,
Texas, on the grand occasion of its ribbon-cutting and dedication
ceremony for its new location on Sunday, May 15, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The Abundant Life Community Baptist Church
relocated on May 1 to 2113 West Wells Branch Parkway; founded by
Pastor DeChard Freeman, the church is devoted to the cause of
Christianity and to seeking ways to improve the community and
conditions in the world; and
WHEREAS, The church ministers faithfully to the needs of
its followers and serves as an invaluable source of strength to
its members during their hardships and in difficult times; and
WHEREAS, The dedication ceremony for the church's
relocation is an opportunity to celebrate its contributions to
area citizens and express gratitude for the support and
inspiration it provides the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Pastor Freeman and the
members of Abundant Life Community Baptist Church on the joyous
occasion of the dedication ceremony in honor of its new location;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the church as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
