H.R. No. 22
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Ervin and Janice Schwindt of Belton
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Ervin Schwindt and the former Janice Rykowski were
united in matrimony at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Belfield,
North Dakota, in 1961; through the years, they have nurtured a
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
addition of their sons and their spouses, Sheldon Schwindt and his
wife, Theresa, and Scott Schwindt and his wife, Lisa; they have been
further blessed with six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schwindt enjoyed a career at Conoco for more
than two decades, and after moving with his wife to Belton, he was
employed for another 17 years at Dealers Electrical Supply before
retiring; Mrs. Schwindt has been a dedicated homemaker throughout
their marriage, and today she also works alongside her husband in
the family business; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session,
hereby congratulate Ervin and
Janice Schwindt on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schwindt as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
