No. 226 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The passing of Lenora Josephine Cavazos of Irving on May 30, 2011, at the age of 80, has deeply saddened her many loved ones; and WHEREAS, A native of Alton, Illinois, the former Lenora Walter was born on November 30, 1930, to Joseph and Nora Walter; she married Rafael Cavazos, with whom she shared a rewarding marriage that spanned 40 years; the devoted mother of seven children, Rafael, Francisco, Crissy, Tony, Dan, Sam, and Mario, she was further blessed with 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Cavazos was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite team; also a talented cook, she enjoyed sharing recipes with her many friends; and WHEREAS, Lenora Cavazos enjoyed a life that was rich in the intangibles that matter most, and she will forever be remembered with great affection by all who held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lenora Josephine Cavazos and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her children, Crissy Beavers and Rafael, Francisco, Tony, Dan, Sam, and Mario Cavazos; to her 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; to her siblings, Mary Klopmeier and John, Jim, and Tom Walter; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lenora Josephine Cavazos.
