SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 103
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Splendora Independent School District for earning
the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award for small school
districts; and
WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards program
is designed to honor commitment and dedication to education and
is the largest monetary recognition program for educators in
Texas; in addition to a trophy and the title, Splendora
Independent School District received $50,000; and
WHEREAS, The awards program seeks to pay tribute to
teachers and administrators who stand out above the rest in
overall educational excellence; and
WHEREAS, The districts that are finalists for the awards
are visited by judges who meet with educators, administrators,
students, and parents in the communities; and
WHEREAS, Splendora Independent School District strives to
maintain a challenging and supportive academic environment on
each of its campuses and is noted for its excellent curriculum
standards and educational opportunities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the Splendora
Independent School District on its exceptional educational
programs and extend congratulations to all associated with the
district on its H-E-B Excellence in Education Award; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the district as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
