                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 19, 2013      TO: Honorable Joseph Pickett, Chair, House Committee On Homeland Security & Public Safety      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1051 by Keffer (Relating to the application of certain concealed handgun license laws to United States attorneys and assistant United States attorneys and to the authority of those attorneys to carry certain weapons.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code and Penal Code to waive Concealed Handgun License fees for United States Attorneys and United States Assistant Attorneys.  It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current appropriations.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
