The bill would amend the Education Code to exempt persons younger than 12 years of age from the offenses of disruption of classes and disruption of transportation. These offenses are Class C misdemeanors. Under current law, only juveniles in the sixth grade or a lower grade level are exempt from these offenses. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
