                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 17, 2013      TO: Honorable Geanie Morrison, Chair, House Committee On Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1303 by Miller, Rick (Relating to identification for poll watchers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require election officers to provide poll watchers with a form of identification, as prescribed by the Secretary of State (SOS), to be displayed during the watchers hours of service at the polling place.  SOS indicated that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agencys existing resources.
