LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION April 18, 2013 TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:HB1347 by González, Mary (Relating to the use of El Paso Mission Valley specialty license plate fees for the preservation and rehabilitation of the Socorro, San Elizario, and Ysleta Missions.), As Engrossed No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Transportation Code to expand the use of the General Revenue-Dedicated El Paso Mission Restoration Plates Account No. 5122 and include the San Elizario and Ysleta Missions as entities that may receive grants out of that account from the Texas Historical Commission. It is assumed that the Historical Commission would need to update agency rules, guidelines, and grant application; however, it is anticipated the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State and could be absorbed within existing resources.
