                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 8, 2013      TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1352 by Callegari (Relating to an exemption for certain persons who sell signs from the requirement to be licensed as an electrician.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to an exemption for certain persons who sell signs from the requirement to be licensed as an electrician. Based on information provided by Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and the Office of Attorney General, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. This analysis also assumes that a revenue loss would be realized with the implementation of the bill; however, it is also assumed that the amount of revenue collections lost from the exemption of persons who sell signs each year would be insignificant.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
