A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the power of the Nueces County Road District No. 4 to
lease or sell land.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subtitle B, Title 5, Special District Local Laws
Code, is amended by adding Chapter 5202 to read as follows:
CHAPTER 5202. NUECES COUNTY ROAD DISTRICT NO. 4
SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Sec. 5202.001. DEFINITION. In this chapter, "district"
means the Nueces County Road District No. 4.
SUBCHAPTER B. DISTRICT POWERS
Sec. 5202.051. AUTHORITY TO LEASE OR SELL LAND. The
district may lease or sell land that is no longer used for district
purposes.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
