ANALYSIS H.B. 1364 amends the Local Government Code to decrease from 50,000 to 10,000 the minimum population threshold for the applicability of statutory provisions relating to the local control of firefighter employment matters in certain municipalities. EFFECTIVE DATE On passage, or, if the bill does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2013.
