The bill would require the University Interscholastic League, on a biennial basis, to issue statewide requests for proposals from institutions of higher education and other appropriate entities seeking to hold the statewide competitions for two consecutive years. Local Government Impact Based on the analysis of the University Interscholastic League, moving competition sites away from the centrally-located University of Texas campus could increase travel costs for certain ISDs.
