The bill would amend Chapter 403 of the Government Code to require that the searchable state expenditure database maintained by the Comptroller of Public Accounts allow users to ascertain, for grant expenditures, the specific purposes for which the grant money was used. The agency estimates there would be a cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
