D. (Relating to use of countywide polling places for certain elections.), As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Election Code to authorize the use of countywide polling places for primary elections. The bill would require the Secretary of State (SOS) to allow the commissioners court participating in the countywide polling program to eliminate county election precinct polling places and establish countywide polling places for certain elections. SOS indicated that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
