The bill would amend the Election Code to require certain actions to be taken by presidential elector candidates and replacement candidates and certain actions to be taken by the Governor and Secretary of State related to processing, certifying, and transmitting a certification of state electors. The Secretary of State and the Office of the Governor indicate the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. This bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.
