The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to notice of a premium increase for certain health insurance policies. The bill would require insurers to provide notice of a rate increase on an individual accident and health insurance policy that provides major medical expense coverage. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill would be absorbed within existing staff and resources.
