Lewis, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1626 by Miller, Doug (Relating to specifications for legal papers filed with a county clerk.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code to add specifications for legal documents that are filed with a county clerk. A county clerk would be authorized to refuse a legal document that is not suitable for reproduction, unless the document cannot be replicated to comply with the requirements.
