                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 15, 2013      TO: Honorable Gary Elkins, Chair, House Committee On Technology      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1894 by Elkins (Relating to the adoption of the Uniform Trade Secrets Act.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to adopt the Uniform Trade Secrets Act. The bill specifies procedural requirements and available relief and damages for actions brought under the Act. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
