                    BILL ANALYSIS             H.B. 1895     By: King, Phil     Natural Resources     Committee Report (Unamended)             BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE    Legislation was enacted more than a decade ago that created the Parker County Utility District No. 1. Interested parties note that, because the district has been inactive for several years and has not fulfilled the purpose of its creation, the district board of directors unanimously voted to dissolve the district. H.B. 1895 seeks to statutorily dissolve the district.       RULEMAKING AUTHORITY    It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.       ANALYSIS    H.B. 1895 dissolves the Parker County Utility District No. 1 and repeals the statutory provisions relating to the district and the district boundaries.    H.B. 1895 repeals the following provisions:            Chapter 7208, Special District Local Laws Code             Section 1.04, Chapter 1273, Acts of the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997       EFFECTIVE DATE    On passage, or, if the bill does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2013.

           Section 1.04, Chapter 1273, Acts of the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997
