       AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT   Legislation was enacted more than a decade ago that created the Parker County Utility District No. 1. Interested parties note that, because the district has been inactive for several years and has not fulfilled the purpose of its creation, the district board of directors unanimously voted to dissolve the district.    H.B. 1895 amends current law relating to the dissolution of the Parker County Utility District No. 1.   RULEMAKING AUTHORITY   This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.   SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS   SECTION 1. Provides that the Parker County Utility District No. 1 is dissolved.   SECTION 2. Repealer: Chapter 7208 (Parker County Utility District No. 1), Special District Local Laws Code.   Repealer: Section 1.04 (Boundaries), Chapter 1273, Acts of the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997.   SECTION 3. Provides that all requirements of the constitution and the laws of this state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with respect to the notice, introduction, and passage of this Act are fulfilled and accomplished.    SECTION 4. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2013.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Provides that the Parker County Utility District No. 1 is dissolved.

 

SECTION 2. Repealer: Chapter 7208 (Parker County Utility District No. 1), Special District Local Laws Code.

 

Repealer: Section 1.04 (Boundaries), Chapter 1273, Acts of the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997.

 

SECTION 3. Provides that all requirements of the constitution and the laws of this state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with respect to the notice, introduction, and passage of this Act are fulfilled and accomplished. 

 

SECTION 4. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2013.
